Lots of trial and error. thanks for your feedback! 3) Pilots will level up and their level will unlock new skills or moves. (both for roguelike campaign mode and separately for multiplayer PVP) 4) yes you will also be able to select skills for the pilots when they level up, as well as some modifications or equipment, cosmetics for the units.

Pretty fun for scratching that Steambirds itch.
Couple comments on the Mac v.38 beta:
1) Underlying mechanics are pretty good.
2) When a lot of fighters get going, the UI is hard to use, so adding a next unit button would be really helpful.
3) I assume the next step is in building out whatever the gold and XP do, some sort of progression in units?
4) Any plan to make the units customizable, or would that be too complex for the AI to balance against?
