Controls: click and drag to move the camera. mousewheel to zoom. more hotkeys in menu. for best experience: play the downloadable version. If you are playing in-browser, Safari does not support automatic saves. I recommend Firefox.

You can also play the original game on Flashpoint! This remake is very faithful to the original, but I hope you enjoy the updated experience. I recommend trying with dynamic backdrops turned on if you have a decent enough computer!

This Is Epic. Absolutely Epic. I Cannot Express My Gratitude.

This is an amazing version! Thank you for re-creating the original game so perfectly! My son loves the DEV MODE for designing his own levels. Is there a way to edit or design PROGRAMS as well? Please let me know.

I'm happy to hear you are enjoying it! This is the first time the next generation are trying it too, so that is lovely to hear! Currently there is no custom Programs. There is a way to make custom campaigns and shops (information in discord) but it is beta.

ok, if customizing programs ever becomes an option, please let me know. thanks kindly!

sure and let me know if you have any feedback or want to share any levels.

You guy is a mad man. Now i get to relive my childhood

let me know how it goes! (dont forget to turn on dynamic backdrops)

Super  duper fantastic. the puzzles are just like before.

Minor issue so far: PED's background is too distracting. i suggest blurring it a bit if you continue to use it as the background

Got a YT link to the remix that plays while debug mode is on during a battle?

That track was made by user Grassinio who is a composer and fan of Nightfall. In our discord, you can reach out and ask!

I love this HD remake. Great job!

Also, I love the UI, what UI Unity asset package are you using? or did you design it?

Thank you! The menu or in-game? The main menu uses Mitchsky Heat UI asset as the base but i turned off a lot of animations. Its very heavy for what this game is, might make a simpler version later. in game in the netmap and battle there's not really any UI its mostly simple buttons and sprites/styled from the old game. I'd love to connect if you're a Unity dev! through the discord perhaps?

Sure, here is the easiest way to connect with me https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-skillman/

Wow, has it really been 20 years since I stayed up way too late playing this? And I'm doing it again?

Maybe I'm having a Mandela, but I could swear the original GameLab version was part of some Lego online portal they were trying to make happen.

So much fun.

<3 just released a little patch too. thank you for playing!

There's one glitch in the original that I'm a little sad isn't in this version. You used to be able to move over to creds to collect them, then undo the movement while keeping the creds. It was really useful for saving time/turns. That said, I'm super grateful that people still love this game enough to remaster it. Thank you so much!!

Yeah, a few very advanced players were sad that this glitch is gone, but I felt compelled to fix it (as well as some other known glitches). But now that it's been brought up again I think i may re-introduce it as an option.

It's really good for speedrunning the game.

I added it back!

When I press Right Click (to prepare to use Command) then Left Click on the enemy, sometimes my Hack 2.0 uses Slice (2 dmg) instead of Dice (3 dmg). Pretty sure my Hack 2.0 has at least 3 sectors at the moment, which is eligible to use Dice.

This is not a big problem, but I always have to pay close attention to my Hack 2.0’s Command’s description, otherwise I might end up dealing 2 dmg instead of 3.

Details not sure if related to the bug :

- At the start of his turn, my Hack 2.0 has only 1 sector

- At the start of his turn, my Hack 2.0 has already been Boosted by Turbo

Hi Manaseed!! In the old game we had to manually select dice every time we wanted to use dice which was annoying. I tried to make it automatic in this version, but maybe its not working with the right click shortcut. I'll look into it. thank you!

Not sure but I think there’s a bug.

Supposedly, DataDoctor’s command Grow increases the sector of another program by 2 (Perquisite: the target program has adjacent empty space to expand sector)

But there are several situations which Grow don’t work properly. I attached an image to illustrate the problem.

thanks for the bug report. yeah this looks wrong! I will try to fix it. Btw, grow is the only command which I changed the behavior of because the original's Grow was kinda buggy too. (All other game logic should be accurate) but it should have worked as you expected here.

It has several save slots but how do you delete a game save? Thanks

I didn't add a UI for it yet. Good idea. If you are on Desktop version, I can show you how to delete the file for it.

Hi Sauss! sorry your comment went into pending so I had to approve it and didn't notice until today. You can click to drag the map around, which is I think much better than the old arrows. Also arrow keys/wasd work too. 1280x960 is a very difficult size, let me see what I can do for you.

The chat does scroll, but there is no scroll bar you just use the mouse and drag.

There are custom levels being shared in discord! I do hope to support custom campaigns one day.

that's a cool idea, i like the theming of the upload sizes in KB.

all pixel ui scales when the screen size reaches almost double. I tested it and if I double the ui on your monitor's narrow ratio it will cover up the level making it hard to play. I wasn't expecting such a narrow resolution. I'll try to add optional scaling in the future but it will be a while sorry

Very interested in this project and hope that once you're done you continue making games (even if they aren't in the same vein)!!

(+1)

I hope so too! My main goal is to do a sequel, but a remake will come out first.

demo out now :)

want to join the discord? You can come share what you're working on. Just in the last few days i've discovered a handful more people remaking the game. Really exciting to see how this community can grow
